This McDonald’s Hack Will Get Double the Nuggets in the Same Price

TikTok has recently become a one-stop solution for all life problems. The video-sharing platform has started a number of trends including tye-dying clothes, turning pancakes into cereal and, of course, everyone’s beloved Dalgona coffee.

But the platform is also known for incredible life hacks that we didn’t think we needed. Just recently a TikTok user shared his secret for saving money when ordering food from McDonald’s, and it was such a genius idea that we couldn’t help but share it with you!

If you’re like the TikTok user  @tha_broski,  who loves chicken nuggets from McDonald’s, this clever hack will get you more nuggies for your buck — and who can say no to extra chicken nuggets?

A pic so good, you could eat it.

A post shared by McDonald's (@mcdonalds) on May 12, 2017 at 9:05am PDT

The TikTok video broke down the prices of different nugget meal options at McDonald’s and according to his observation, the six-piece box which costs $2 is more economical than the 10-piece box which costs $5.79. This means that for $6, you can get 3 six-piece boxes, giving a total of 18 nuggets — all in the same price of the 10-piece box!

Of course, this hack won’t work for every McDonald’s as prices can vary from city to city. Some of the people even commented and said that the prices of 6- and 10-piece nugget boxes were different in their areas, and in fact, it wasn’t cheaper at all to buy the smaller nugget deal. You’ll need to check the McDonald’s near you to determine if this hack works for you.

But even if the six-piece box isn’t cheaper than the 10-piece one, per nugget, here’s another hack that we verified across half of the McDonald’s chains across the country, and it could save you 60% of your money the next time you buy nuggets!

Most McDonald’s stores selling four-piece, six-piece, and ten-piece nuggets. The four-piece meal, which costs$1.30, is actually cheaper than the ten-piece one ($4.50) if you look at the cost per nugget. This means that 3 of the four-piece boxes will cost you only $3.90, that’s 60% cheaper than the 10-nugget box!

The only downside of this hack is that you’ll end up with extra packaging from ordering 3 meals instead of one. But hey, it saves you 60 cents AND gets you two extra nuggets — that’s worth the bargain.

The same TickTok user who shared this groundbreaking hack also revealed that getting a medium fry is more expensive than getting the small one because the containers for both sizes fit the same amount of fries.
